Cartes Postale

Oh Paris. Some days you irritate me with your dirt, your smells, your poor excuses for customer service, your attitude of superiority.

And then, you throw me a bone: a scene so delightful that I just have to sigh and count my lucky stars.

Ah, when someone asks me why a want to move to Paris I know two things about them: they've never been there and they don't know what they are missing.
Some day, Paris will be my home.
(Just need a job there.)

With all its faults, there is no other city like Paris.

"your dirt" => Never go to Conakry and never take a look in the small alleys behind buildings of any amarican town !

"your smells" => do not even think to go to Casablanca, do not enter most of the american restaurants

"your poor excuses for customer service" => By very far the worst experience of poor service of my life was in Chicago's airport with American Airlines after they lost my luggage : at least Air France explains you immediatly what happens and how to complain (they give you forms to complete, web addresses...). Here they didn't care at all. The good thing about it is that I could notice my english level was good enough to shout and argue in another language than my mother tongue.

"your attitude of superiority" => Never go to Spain or to Austria...

Cecile: No arguments with you. Life's a bit of a roller coaster, no matter where you go!
